I saw pictures of these Chinese men and these Cormorant birds and had to paint them.
The birds are tied with a long string to the fisherman's net. The bird helps the men by geting fish from the water and placing them ito the fisherman's net
I use the term "Mutualism" in my title, asssuming that the birds must be rewarded with some of their catch.
