I think about painting all the time.
Since I was very young, I sought out and absorbed aspects of all human cultures and zoology.
My academics were in SocioCultural Anthropology, SocioLinguistics, African History and T.E.S.L.
My fun was in music, travel, ceramics, art history, indigenous arts, loving animals and painting.
So, without doubt, this curiosity started to manifest its way into all of my work.
Through painting, I have found a way of interpreting these discoveries in my own language.
I am an intensely visual person who is inspired by living creatures, symbolism, culture, politics and history.
Commissions are a great way for me to challenge myself.
They are a fun and a surprisingly intimate way to work with others.
The process helps me to hear and think differently and helps others to learn how to ask for what they really want.
Believe me, not all people know how to do that.

I'm not trying to be the worlds most amazing painter.
I'm just challenging myself, learning as much as I can, sharing what i can and constantly having fun.

Yelo made a beautiful piece for my wife and I to celebrate our love for each other. It's made from found material, personalized and hand painted just for us. We have a good collection of folk art and outsider art. Yelo's piece is one of our favorites on display in our home!
I have several of Yellow's paintings and they all bring a feeling of joy each time I look at them. Each painting has a special meaning, and they all evoke precious memories of days past. Whether a commissioned piece with personal requests in mind or one of Yellow's own creations, like this one, I have a special attachment to each. The use of contrast, color, types of materials and paints all express Yellow's love for Art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am Blessed, to have some of the beauty Yellow sees, in my home.
Yelo's work is deep, filled with symbolism and meaning, is often edgy and hilarious, and lovely to look at. She always surprises me with her mix of color, concept and flawless execution, all the while making it seem so easy (thou it is most definitely not!). She's one of the best artists I know, bringing an individual style that is unique and totally her.
Delivery & Returns & Disclaimer
I make it to the ups store about once a week.
Shipping from Tucson is tricky. This city does not have a hub. All packages go to Phoenix first...then out to the world. It is the Wild West.
I don't do returns...However, If painting has been damaged or stolen during shipment a claim can be filed with UPS.
I get insurance for each package shipped.
You will recieve a tracking #
I only use UPS from Downtown Tucson on 6th. Ave 85701
If you choose to Fed Ex....that's can get pricy.
Its up to you.
